This policy explains how Dunkery Ventures Ltd (“Dunkery Yatra”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use dunkerytrails.co.uk or contact us via WhatsApp.
We are a UK-registered company (Dunkery Ventures Ltd, registered in England & Wales). We take your privacy seriously and comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data we collect
We collect only what we need to plan and book your trip:
- Your name and email address — if you provide them when sending your bucket list or journey plan via our website
- Your WhatsApp messages — when you contact us via WhatsApp (+44 7440 473957) to enquire or book
- Your trip preferences — the treks, activities and experiences you save while browsing our site (stored locally in your browser using localStorage; we do not access this directly unless you choose to share it)
- Usage data — standard web server logs including your IP address and browser type, retained for up to 30 days for security purposes
We do not collect payment card information. Deposits and payments are handled separately and directly.
How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiries and plan your trip
- To send you planning updates or itinerary information you have requested
- To improve our website and services
We will never sell your data to third parties or use it for unsolicited marketing.
Third-party services we use
- WhatsApp (Meta) — for direct communication. Meta’s privacy policy applies to WhatsApp messages.
- Mapbox — for interactive maps on our trek pages. Mapbox may collect usage data per their privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — for typography. Google may log font requests per their privacy policy.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel processes web traffic per their privacy policy.
- Anthropic (AI) — powers our Tenzin chat assistant. Queries may be processed by Anthropic per their privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
We retain your contact details and trip correspondence for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil your booking and for any follow-up queries. You may ask us to delete your data at any time.

- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to or restrict processing of your data

Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking cookies. We use your browser’s localStorage to remember items you have saved to your Nepal journey list — this data never leaves your device unless you choose to send it to us via WhatsApp.
