Kyanjin Gompa village at dusk — Langtang Valley, Nepal
No altitude required

Nepal
in Seven
Days.

Four very different Nepals. One week. Kathmandu’s ancient temple quarters, a morning cycling route above the valley, the lakeside calm of Pokhara, and jungle at Chitwan. None of it above 1,400 metres. All of it extraordinary.

The Idea

Nepalese hospitality
is unlike anything.

Nepal is not one place. It is four distinctly different countries within one border. The ancient chaos of Kathmandu. The lakeside calm of Pokhara. The wild green heat of Chitwan. The forested ridges above the valley. Each has its own character. The hospitality that binds them is what makes Nepal unlike anywhere you have been.

🏛
Kathmandu is still medieval
Seven UNESCO sites within an hour of the airport. Rooftop restaurants above 2,500-year-old temple squares. A city that never stopped being itself.
🏈
Himalayan views from a café
The Kathmandu Hills route puts you on a bicycle through pine forest to a hilltop café where the Annapurna range fills the northern horizon.
Pokhara at first light
The Annapurna range reflected in Phewa Lake before any other tourist is awake. A wooden boat, silence, and mountains so close they look drawn.
🐘
Nepal has a jungle
Chitwan National Park — one-horned rhinos at dusk, jungle lodge dinners, Tharu cultural evenings. The face of Nepal most visitors never see.

Day by Day

Seven days.
Four entirely
different Nepals.

1–2
Days 1 & 2
Kathmandu
Arrive and recover from the flight. Heritage hotel in Thamel. Day two: Boudhanath Stupa at dawn, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur pottery squares, a Newari feast in the evening.
3
Day 3
The Kathmandu Hills
Thirty minutes from the hotel, the city gives way to pine forest and the valley rim opens into Himalayan panorama. A morning cycle to a hilltop café with the full Annapurna range ahead of you at breakfast. Evening flight or overnight bus to Pokhara.
4–5
Days 4 & 5
Pokhara
Nepal’s second city on the shore of Phewa Lake with the Annapurna range directly to the north. Pre-dawn boat on the lake, Sarangkot sunrise, paragliding over the valley if conditions allow. The Annapurna range from a tandem glider at 1,600m is a specific category of experience.
6
Day 6
Chitwan
Drive or short flight to Chitwan National Park. Subtropical grassland, the Rapti River, one-horned rhinos in the tall grass. A jeep safari at dawn, canoe drift in the afternoon, Tharu cultural evening over dinner at the jungle lodge.
7
Day 7
Return or Extend
Morning flight Chitwan to Kathmandu, afternoon international departure. Or: extend east to Dharan for two more days — Rai and Limbu culture, completely off the tourist trail.
