Chitwan

Nepal is not only mountains. Chitwan National Park in the southern lowlands is a UNESCO World Heritage Site — home to one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, gharial crocodiles, and over 500 species of bird. The lodges here are built at the edge of the jungle, where the night sounds are unlike anything in the mountains.

A note on pricing: Nepal is a genuinely seasonal country — hotel rates shift noticeably between peak (Oct–Nov, Mar–Apr) and quieter months. Every price shown here is a baseline average and will be confirmed before you book. Teahouse prices on the trail also vary by altitude and remoteness.
